How the material is written
Every page follows the same shape: a one-sentence definition, then an explanation that assumes you are stuck rather than that you already understand. The reaction diagrams are drawn in-house rather than borrowed, so the notation stays consistent from one page to the next — which matters more than it sounds when you are trying to learn a pattern.
Corrections
Chemistry references drift. If something here is wrong, ambiguous, or contradicts what your course is teaching, tell us and it gets fixed. Corrections are the fastest way this site improves.
How it stays free
One thing pays for the site: the printable study guides, which condense the same material into reference sheets you can revise from. Everything else stays free and always will.
There are no affiliate links anywhere on this site and no paid placements. When a book is recommended here it is because it is worth reading — nobody pays to appear, and we earn nothing if you buy one.
Use this alongside your course, not instead of it. Conventions vary between instructors and textbooks. Where this site and your professor disagree, your professor is the one marking the exam.
