An elimination reaction involving the loss of H and OH.

Dehydration Explained:

The chemical reaction where the loss of water molecules occurs from the reactant molecule. For instance, if two monomers react and (H) Hydrogen from one of the monomers attaches to a hydroxyl group (OH) they then form a water molecule (H2O) as a product of the reaction.
