Polarimeter

Polarimeter Definition:

A device that measures the rotation of plane-polarized light when passed through optically active compounds is called a Polarimeter.

Polarimeter Explained:

The device contains an optically active compound that rotates the plane polarized light passing through. Using a second filter on the other side of the polarimeter a person can measure the degrees of rotation.
