Termination Definition:

In radical reactions, a step in which two radicals are joined to give a compound with no unshared electrons.

Termination Explained:

Any chemical reaction that ceases the formation of reactive intermediates in a chain step in the course of a polymerization, effectively bringing it to a stop. Likewise, the termination step is seen from a biological perspective when speaking specifically about mRNA and the formation of a polypeptide with in the ribosomal subunit.
